At Grower Direct Farms, we are always striving to implement new ideas and technologies in our greenhouses, keeping up with the fast-paced modernization of the industry. In 2024 we began working with Corvus Drones in the Netherlands to implement the world’s first unmanned warehouse inventory drones at our farm.
Corvus Drones offers us fully automated inventory management support by using robotics and AI to deliver accurate reports on the quantity and readiness of our plants. Our goal is to deploy drones across our greenhouses to optimize our team’s accuracy and efficiency, especially during our busiest seasons.
We have been working closely with the team at Corvus Drones all the way in the Netherlands to build and customize our own greenhouse drone to our specific needs. Affectionately named FRED, our drone will be taking over some of the most tedious and time-consuming inventory management tasks and optimizing our efficiency. FRED can not only count and assess crop readiness but also detect early signs of mildew. Changes in crop status will be caught and addressed quickly. FRED will provide Grower Direct Farms with data-driven insights into our company’s productivity and sustain our growth goals into the future!
